ABOUT
The ACE COMBAT Series puts players in the flight suit of an ace pilot. Immersed in beautifully rendered and realistic-looking skies, players have full, 360-degree freedom of control over their own fighter plane. Moment-to-moment decisions and difficult, yet thrilling dogfights work together to create the unique and rewarding experience of fighting to win glory and dominance in the skies.
Since the release of the original ACE COMBAT in 1995, the series has been followed by a number of titles. The most recent, ACE COMBAT 7: SKIES UNKNOWN, sold over six million copies, and the series as a whole has sold over 20 million.
While ACE COMBAT's numbered titles* each feature a self-contained story, the series itself takes place in Strangereal, a fictional world that serves as a stage for a long history of dramatic historical events. Below is a brief overview of the world's history.*Not all series titles take place in Strangereal.
